Why does it take so long to get a response to an email?
Baking is a labor-intensive, time-consuming job. By the time the day is done, it's sometimes been 15-20 hours of straight work. Answering emails sometimes takes me up to an hour each day. This is why I tend to triage my inbox, addressing the most pressing questions first.
Why don't you answer the phone?
My hands are often covered in sugary substances. Invariably, I get my hands all clean only to find out it's a telemarketer calling. Other times, I am in the middle of an intensive cookie decorating project. It's much easier for me to receive emails and tend to them at the end of the work day.
Can I pick up my cake a day early?
I don't bake your cake until the day before it is scheduled for pickup, therefore, it is not possible to pick up early unless scheduled in advance.
